 Online Appointment Booking System

  • All visitors are required to schedule an appointment in order to submit applications. Arrangement is available through the 365 Overseas Korean Portal (https://www.g4k.go.kr/en/main.do) instead of calling the Embassy.

     Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA)

    • K-ETA is an electronic travel authorization that visa-free foreign visitors need to obtain before entering the Republic of Korea, by submitting relevant information online such as their travel information.

    • Nationals of 112 countries(including Greece, Cyprus, Albania) are eligible for K-ETA.

    • Greeks and Cypriots are nationals of countries eligible for K-ETA temporary exemption until December 31, 2024, and thus they are not required to apply for K-ETA. (Greeks: 90 days, Cypriots: 30 days)

    ※ However, if they wish to apply in order to receive benefits from K-ETA approval, such as not having to submit an arrival card upon entry, may apply for K-ETA.

    • Travelers must apply K-ETA at least 72 hours before departure.

    Visa 

    • Nationals who are not eligible to apply K-ETA or travelers who plan to stay in Korea for longer than 90 days or whose purpose of visit is not covered by K-ETA, must obtain appropriate visa.

    • Visa application should be made at Korean embassies or consulates abroad.

    • The Embassy shall have enough time to thoroughly review all the applications, which may take around two weeks. Applicant is recommended to apply visa at least 3 weeks prior to departure.

    • Process may be expedited for diplomatic and official visits, essential business activities including investment and technology transfers, or urgent family issues.

    • Submitting requirements does not guarantee automatic issuance of the visa and Embassy reserves right to request additional documents if needed.

    • If applicants provide with fraudulent documents or claims, this may result in processing delays and application being refused.

    • A national of the following listed countries* is eligible to apply visa to our Embassy only if the person has been resided in Greece, Cyprus or Albania with long-term visa or residence permit for the last 2 consecutive years and is holding long-term visa or residence permit which allows to stay more than 6 months. If not, visa must be applied to Korean Embassy of home country.

    • China, The Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Mongolia, Thailand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Peru, Syria, Sudan, Macedonia, Kosovo, Cuba, Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Gambia, Senegal, Somalia and Cameroon

    • All the documents must be issued within recent 90 days, except for the passport(expiry date more than 6 months), photo and criminal records certificate(6 months).

    How to check my visa application status and print Visa Grant Notice

    • The Embassy will notify applicants of their visa details by issuing ‘Visa Grant Notice’ on the official website(visa.go.kr) where applicants can print out the document, at any time, by entering personal details such as passport number, date of birth and other relevant information. 

    • We do not provide any status update(s) on application via email or phone.

    • Applicants must print Visa Grant Notice and keep it with passport when they enter Korea.

    COVID-19 Related Measures

    • All travelers may input their information into Q-CODE system(click) before their departure. 

    • Nothing is required to do after entry.
