주크로아티아 대한민국 대사관

우리 대사관은 지난 10.4(토) 크로아티아 자그레브 소재 치그라(Čigra) 태권도 클럽과 공동으로  「치그라 오픈-한국 대사배 태권도 대회」를 개최하였습니다.

동 대회는 일반부, 어린이부, 장애인부 경기를 동시에 개최한 가운데 약 650여 명의 선수들과 2,000여 명의 관중들이 참가하여 성황을 이루었습니다. 특히, 일반부는 올해 말 개최 예정인 유럽 태권도 선수권 대회에 크로아티아 유소년부 국가대표 선발 대회로 참가 선수들의 큰 관심을 모았습니다.

이승범 대사는 환영사를 통해 태권도는 한국과 크로아티아의 우정을 나타내는 상징이자, 두 나라를 잇는 소중한 가교 역할을 하고 있다고 강조하고, 참가한 모든 선수들의 선전을 기원하였습니다.

On 4 October, the Embassy, in cooperation with the Čigra Taekwondo Club in Zagreb, Croatia, hosted the Čigra Open – Korean Ambassador’s Cup Taekwondo Tournament.

The tournament featured competitions in the general categories, children’s categories, and para categories, drawing approximately 650 athletes and over 2,000 spectators, making it a great success. Notably, the general categories attracted significant attention as it served as a qualifying event for the selection of Croatia’s national youth team for the upcoming European Taekwondo Championships later this year.

During the welcoming speech, Ambassador Lee Seungbuhm emphasized that Taekwondo is a symbol and bridge of friendship between Korea and Croatia and wished all participating athletes success in their competitions.
