Korean Dramas, popularly known as K-dramas will soon reach the Tamil audience.
Many of the K-dramas which are popular across Asia with growing interest in rest of the world will soon be telecasted by Puthuyugam Television, a Chennai-based South India television channel. The television network has received the rights to broadcast the shows from the original television channels stations in South Korea, such as, KBS, MBC and SBS.
Puthuyugam has dubbed K-dramas in Tamil and scheduled to air popular K-dramas. K-dramas will be on air from May 12th on Puthuyugam channel from 7.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. India time from Monday to Friday.
K-dramas follows telenovela format, which refers to limited-run serial drama that typically run for about 16 to 20 episodes. To begin with, Pudhuyugam is planning to beam the famous K-dramas Boys Over Flower, Iris and Great Inheritance.
This is the first time any type of Korean television content is getting translated in Tamil language and reaching Tamil Nadu audience. This would surely be a milestone in building the relationship between people of Korea and South India.
