[2022 Korea Week] Korea Week Comes Back to Chennai!

A week-long celebration of Korean music and culture is now back in Chennai after two years!. Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Chennai with the partnership of Korean Culture Center in New Delhi & InKo Centre Chennai presents Korea Week from October 17th to 21st October 2022. After a gap of over 2 years due to the global pandemic, two Korean music bands are performing live in Chennai.

The Korean band ID, sponsored by Korean Cultural Center in New Delhi will visit Chennai on 17th October 2022 after their performance on 15th October 2022 at New Delhi. ID presents its music stressing on the powerful energy and unique timbre of Korean winds, based on the Korean musical element of folk songs and nursery rhythm. The band will perform at Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert hall, Chennai at 7.00PM on 17th October 2022.

The Duobud, another Korean band, co-sponsored by Korean Consulate General and InKo Centre, presents a feisty, stirring blend of string and percussion. The band will perform at Music Academy T.T. K road, Chennai on 21st October 2022, 7.00PM. Both performances will be open to the public and seating will be on a first come first serve basis.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea will be holding a reception at ITC Grand Chola Hotel celebrating the Korean National Foundation Day on 20th October 2022. Duobud will  perform for the invited guests on the day as well.
