Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Chennai

Ulsan Metropolitan City Mayor Kim Gi-Hyeon on August 02, 2016 signed a Sister City agreement with Greater Chennai City Mayor Saidai Duraisamy in the presence of Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Chennai Kyungsoo Kim and Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner D. Karthikeyan.

Following the signing of the agreement, Chennai Corporation officials are likely to visit South Korea to study various aspects of local administration, civic issues and infrastructure development.

The areas identified for mutual cooperation between the sister cities include automobile technology, shipping, eco-restoration of rivers, linkages between tourism, solid waste management and technology for road construction.
