Visa

Working hours of Consular Section

  • Working days: Sunday to Thursday (Except Iranian Official holidays)

  • Receiving Application: 08:00 -12:00


Visa Application Fee

  • Single entry visa (For a stay of 90 days): $50

  • Single entry visa (For a stay of more than 90 days): $80

  • Double entry visa: $90 (temporarily closed)

  • Multiple entry visa: $120 (temporarily closed)

  • Express single entry visa (For a stay of 90 days): $100

  • Express Single entry visa (For a stay of more than 90 days): $160

  • Express Double entry visa: $180

    The fees and documents are nonrefundable. It must be paid in cash in US dollar upon submission.

Required documents

For Business

  • Visa Application Form

  • Two Photos

  • Visa fee

  • Passport and photocopy of the first page of passport

  • Photocopy of National ID and Birth Certificate (Page 1 & 2 / in English)

  • Invitation Letter of Korean Company , certificate of business registration and most recent certificate of tax payment shall be attached.

  • If Korean company is doubted for its real commercial activities, Embassy may request such additional documents too.

  • In invitation letter, the following contents shall be written.

    "The inviter understands that if the invitee does not return to Iran, the inviter will be subjected to a very serious review before it can invite more Iranians."

  • Certificate of employment (for Iranian company) and print of bank account for the last three months and business license with English translation (if not employed by any company) Business license(in English)

  • Social security list(proof of employment) or employee’s payment slip(salary) from the employing company (in English)

  • The last tax return document of the company (in English)

For Education

  • 1~5. (same as above-listed)

  • 6. Scholarship certificate or financial support of the applicant or his/her parents or spouse with bank account print(last six months) and copy of their birth certificate (pages 1 & 2) with English translation.

  • 7. Original Admission letter

  • 8. Introduction in English from the applicant current university (If the applicant is currently studying in an Iranian university)

  • 9. Certificate of graduation and grades transcript along with official translation

* If necessary, interview is required.

For Event (Conference, Seminar, Scientific Exhibition) Participation

  • 1~5. (same as above-listed)

  • 6. Invitation letter from the host

  • In invitation letter, the following contents shall be written.

    "If the invitee will not return to Iran, the inviter understands that it will be subject to very severe review process for further invitation."

  • 7. Certificate of employment or education in English

  • 8. Print of bank account(last three months) and financial support letter of parents/or spouse with the copy of birth certificate of that person with English translation (if not employed)

For Family Visit (1): Invited by Korean

  • 1~4. (same as above-listed)

  • 5. Copy of first and second pages of birth certificate with English translation and copy of National ID card.

  • 6. Invitation letter, copy of inviter’s National ID card both sides, Certificate of employment or certificate of studentship if the inviter is currently studying in Korea, Print of bank account for the last three months.

  • In invitation letter, the following contents shall be written.

    "If the invitee will not return to Iran, the inviter understands that it will be subject to very severe review process for further invitation."

  • 7. Certificate of employment (if the applicant is currently working) or Studentship certificate from university or school (if the applicant is a student) or Print of bank account for the last three months and financial support letter of parents/or spouse with the copy of birth certificate of that person with English translation (if not employed)

For Family Visit (2): Invited by Iranian

  • 1~4. (same as above-listed)

  • 5. Copy of first and second pages of birth certificate with official translation and copy of National ID card.

  • 6. Invitation letter, copy of inviter’s Alien card both sides, certificate of employment or certificate of studentship if the inviter is currently studying in Korea, Print of bank account for the last three months.

    "If the invitee will not return to Iran, the inviter understands that it will be subject to very severe review process for further invitation."

  • In invitation letter, the following contents shall be written.

  • 7. Certificate of employment (if the applicant is currently working) or Studentship certificate from university or school (if the applicant is a student) or Print of bank account for the last three months and financial support letter of parents/or spouse with the copy of birth certificate of that person with English translation (if not employed)

  • 8. Copy of birth certificate (page 1 & 2) of the Iranian inviter with English translation.

It should be noted that , in addition to the aformentioned required documents for obtaining visa depending on the diagnosis of the consular section of the Embassy and the applicant's visa type, other documents may also be requested from visa applicants.

Announcement of Label Free Visa Policy and Important Guidelines

All Embassies of the Republic of Korea around the world will no longer issue visa labels, as of July 1, 2020.

When visa applications are approved, the ROK embassies will notify applicants of their visa details by issuing a ‘Visa Grant Notice’. Holders of a valid visa can print out the Visa Grant Notice document at any time by entering personal details such as passport number and date of birth on the official website at www.visa.go.kr.

The Visa Grant Notice document can be used to prove visa status, including whether he/she is a holder of a valid Korean visa.

The document is valid printed either in color or in black and white and must be presented, with a passport, to immigration authorities during immigration clearance. Please refer to ‘Note’ stipulated in the Visa Grant Notice for detailed information.

[How to verify and print out ‘Visa Grant Notice’]

  • Visit www.visa.go.kr -> Application Status/Issue -> Click ‘Check Application Status & Print’.

  • Enter your Passport number, Name and Date of Birth, and Click the ‘Search’ button.

  • If your visa application has been approved, visa details will appear at page bottom.

  • Click the ‘Visa Grant Notice’ button and print out the document.
