Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Jamaica

Mr Baejin LIM (charge d'Affaires), Senator the Hon. Kamina JOHNSON SMITH (Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade) and Lisa Lindo(Artist) at the Handing-over Ceremony for Sculpture to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Korea and Jamaica. The Sculpture will be placed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. It highlights the mutualistic relationship that exists between Korea and Jamaica, expressed visually using the national flower of the Republic of Korea, the Mugunghwa or “Rose of Sharon”, and the Jamaican hummingbird or “Doctor-Bird” which feeds and pollinates one of the flowers.
