ကိုရီးယားသမ္မတနိုင်ငံသည် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရှိလူသားချင်းစာနာမှုအထောက်အပံ့လုပ်ငန်းများအတွက် ကုလသမဂ္ဂဒုက္ခသည်များဆိုင်ရာအေဂျင်စီ (UNHCR) နှင့် ကုလသမဂ္ဂကမ္ဘာ့စားနပ်ရိက္ခာအစီအစဉ် (WFP) တို့မှတစ်ဆင့် အမေရိကန်ဒေါ်လာ (၁.၃) သန်းလှူဒါန်းမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ကိုရီးယားသမ္မတနိုင်ငံ၏ လှူဒါန်းမှုသည် ၂၀၂၁ ခုနှစ်တစ်လျှောက်တွင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအတွင်း အကူအညီအထူးလိုအပ်လျက်ရှိသည့် နေရာဒေသများ၌ UNHCR နှင့် WFP တို့ ‌ဆောင်ရွက်ကြမည့် အထောက်အပံ့လုပ်ငန်းများကို  ပံ့ပိုးပေးမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

UNHCR သည် ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ်မှ ပဋိပက္ခများကြောင့်နေရပ်စွန့်ခွာထွက်ပြေးနေရသူများ မိုးရာသီကာလအတွင်း ရင်ဆိုင်ကြုံတွေ့ရနိုင်သည့်အခြေအနေများမှကာကွယ်ပေးနိုင်ရန်အတွက် နေအိမ်အမိုးအကာများအား ပြုပြင်ခြင်း၊ ထိန်းသိမ်းခြင်းနှင့် ပြန်လည်တည်ဆောက်ခြင်းလုပ်ငန်းများကို ဆောင်ရွက်မည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ စစ်တွေမြို့ရှိ စခန်းပေါင်း၂၁ခုမှ နေရပ်စွန့်ခွာပြည်သူများသည် ဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်ချမှတ်ခြင်းနှင့် ခေါင်းဆောင်မှုဆိုင်ရာသင်တန်းများ ကိုလည်းရရှိမည်ဖြစ်ပြီး၊ ယင်းတို့၏ လူမှုအသိုက်အ၀န်းများအားကိုယ်စားပြုနိုင်ရန်အတွက် စွမ်းဆောင်ရည် မြှင့်တင်ပေးခြင်း၊ အရင်းအမြစ်များကိုစုဆောင်းခြင်းနှင့် ရပ်ရွာဦးဆောင်သောလှုပ်ရှားမှုများအား ပံ့ပိုးကူညီ ပေးခြင်းတို့ကိုလည်း လုပ်ဆောင်ပေးသွားမည်ဖြစ်သည်။ နေအိမ်အမိုးအကာနှင့် ရပ်ရွာလူထု၏ခံနိုင်ရည်ရှိမှု အတွက် ဆောင်ရွက်ပေးသည့်လုပ်ငန်းများမှတဆင့် ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ်ရှိ နေရပ်စွန့်ခွာပြည်သူပေါင်း ၁၂၄,၀၀၀ အတွက် အကျိုးကျေးဇူးရရှိစေမည်ဟုမျှော်လင့်ပါသည်။ ထပ်လောင်းပြောဆိုရပါလျှင် ထိုရန်ပုံငွေသည် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတစ်၀ှန်းလုံးရှိထိခိုက်ခံစားနေရသည့်ပြည်သူများအတွက် UNHCRမှ အသက်ကယ်အကူအညီများနှင့် အရေးပေါ်အကူအညီများပိုမိုပေးအပ်နိုင်ရန်အားထုတ်လုပ်ဆောင်မှုအတွက်အထောက်အကူပြုပါလိမ့်မည်။

ကိုရီးယားသမ္မတနိုင်ငံ၏ လှူဒါန်းမှုဖြင့် WFP သည် ရန်ကုန်နှင့်မန္တလေးတိုင်းဒေသကြီးရှိ  အနွမ်းပါးဆုံးနှင့် ထိခိုက်အလွယ်ဆုံးသောမြို့နယ်များတွင် မြင့်တက်လာနေသည့် အငတ်‌ဘေးကို ဖြေရှင်းရန် အရေးပေါ်စားနပ်ရိက္ခာအထောက်အပံ့များကို ပေးအပ်သွားမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ WFP သည် မြို့ပြနှင့် မြို့စွန်ဒေသများရှိ လူဦးရေ (၂) သန်းကျော်ကို ကူညီလျက်ရှိသည့် ၎င်း၏ မြို့ပြအထောက်အပံ့စီမံကိန်းကို အရှိန်မြှင့်တင်ဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိသည်။ နေထိုင်မှုအတည်တကျမရှိသေးသည့် အခြေချသူများရှိပြီး၊ နဂိုကပင် ထိခိုက်လွယ်သည့်အခြေအနေရှိသည့် မြို့နယ်များကို ဦးစားပေး၍ ကူညီထောက်ပံ့လျက်ရှိပါသည်။

ထို့အပြင် ကိုရီးယားသမ္မတနိုင်ငံ၏ ရက်ရောသည့် လှူဒါန်းမှုဖြင့် WFP သည် ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ်ရှိ စားနပ်ရိက္ခာအခက်အခဲဖြစ်နေသည့် တိုက်ပွဲကြောင့် နေရပ်စွန့်ခွာခဲ့ရသည့် ထိခိုက်လွယ်သူများနှင့် ရိုဟင်ဂျာလူမှုအသိုက်အဝန်းများ အပါအဝင် လူဦးရေ ၃၅,၀၀၀ ကျော်အား ကူညီထောက်ပံ့ပေးမည်လည်း ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ဤလှူဒါန်းမှုသည် ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ်အလယ်ပိုင်းနှင့်မြောက်ပိုင်းရှိ လူဦးရေ ၃၂၀,၀၀၀ အတွက် WFP က လစဉ်‌ပေးအပ်နေသည့် အသက်ကယ်ဆယ်ရေး စားနပ်ရိက္ခာ သို့မဟုတ် ငွေသား အထောက်အပံ့များကို ထပ်မံအားဖြည့်ပေးမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

The Republic of Korea will contribute USD 1.3 million to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) for humanitarian activities in Myanmar. The funds will support work carried out by both agencies throughout 2021 in locations where needs are crucial. 

UNHCR will repair, maintain and reconstruct shelters for internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by conflict in Rakhine State to protect them from the elements during the rainy season. IDP community members at 21 camps in Sittwe will also receive training on leadership and decision-making, empowering them to represent their communities, mobilize resources and facilitate community-led activities. 124,000 IDPs in Rakhine State are expected to benefit from the shelter and community resilience initiatives. More broadly, the funds will additionally enable UNHCR to expand efforts to provide life-saving support and emergency assistance to vulnerable populations across Myanmar. 

The contribution from the Republic of Korea will also support WFP’s emergency food assistance in responding to fast rising hunger in the most vulnerable and impoverished townships of Yangon and Mandalay. WFP is scaling up its urban response to assist up to 2 million people in urban/ peri-urban areas, prioritizing townships with a high prevalence of informal settlements and pre-existing vulnerability. 

Moreover, the generous support from the Republic of Korea will allow WFP to support over 35,000 most food-insecure people in Rakhine, including Rohingya communities and vulnerable people displaced by armed conflict. The contribution will further bolster WFP’s monthly life-saving food or cash assistance to 320,000 people in northern and central Rakhine.
