1. Eligibility to apply for a Long-Term Technician Visa (D-9-3)

You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are

A person who is dispatched for the supervision of ship-building or industrial facilities manufacturing.

(dispatched by professional services company, assigned by the ordering individual/company)

2. Required Documents

① Visa Application Form (Fill out online, printed, and signed)

② Physical Passport (more than 6 months valid) & Copy (personal information section with photo)

*For Non-Norwegian or Non-Icelandic passport holders are required to submit a residence certificate (Bostedsattest) or a copy of residence card (Non-EU citizens) to apply for a visa through us.

③ Invitation letter issued by host company in Korea

④ Copy of Business Registration Certificate issued by host company in Korea

⑤ Certificate of annual tax payment issued by host company in Korea

⑥ Dispatch order issued by applicant's company

⑦ Copy of trade contract between Korean company and applicant's company

⑧ Fee: 600 NOK

*Visa fees vary depending on the nationality.

3. Please Note

❍ Please be informed that it takes about 10 working days to issue a visa after submitting all physical documents to the Embassy. Reservation is required before visiting the Embassy.

❍ D-9-3 visa can be applied for a single-entry visa valid for 3 months. Periods of stay for this visa will be granted initially for up to 1 year.

❍ Specific visas including D-9 visa can only be issued as a single-entry visa.

- The single-entry visa is valid for 3 months. Do not apply for the visa 3 months before entering the Republic of Korea.

- Foreigners intending to stay in Korea for more than 90 days after entry have to get an Alien Registration Card (ARC) from the Korea Immigration office, and multiple-entry will be allowed with the ARC and re-entry permit.
