1. Eligibility to apply for a Dependent Family Visa (F-3-1)

You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are

a spouse or an unmarried minor child of a holder of the following visa types:

• Korean Arts and Culture (D-1), 

• Student (D-2), 

• General Trainee (D-4), 

• Long-term News Coverage (D-5), 

• Religious Worker (D-6), 

• Intra-Company Transferee (D-7), 

• Corporate/Foreign Investor (D-8), 

• International Trade (D-9), 

• Job Seeker (D-10), 

• Professor (E-1), 

• Foreign Language Instructor (E-2), 

• Researcher (E-3), 

• Technology Instructor/Technician (E-4), 

• Professional (E-5), 

• Artist/Athlete (E-6), 

• Foreign National of Special Ability (E-7) 

• Resident (F-2)

• Overseas Korean (F-4)

• Work and Visit (H-2)

2. Required Documents

① Visa Application Form (Fill out online, printed, and signed)

② Physical Passport (more than 6 months valid) & Copy (personal information section with photo)

- For Non-Norwegian or Non-Icelandic passport holders are required to submit a residence certificate (Utskrift av registrerte opplysninger, Bostedsattest, etc) or a copy of residence card (Non-EU citizens) to apply for a visa through us.

③ Copy of visa & passport (personal information section) of the reference person

- Exemption; if you and your reference person apply for a visa at the same time

④ Family relation certificate

- Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate or a Certification on Family Relations Records

⑤ Documents supporting your financial ability

- A proof employment and tax payment certificate and others

⑥ Application Fee

3. Please Note

❍ Please be informed that it takes about 10 working days to issue a visa after submitting all physical documents to the Embassy. Reservation is required before visiting the Embassy.

❍ F-3-1 visa can be applied for a single-entry visa valid for 3 months. Periods of stay will be granted for up to 1 year.

- If visa validity period of the reference person is less than 1 year, the same visa validity period will be granted.

❍ For stay more than 91 days in the Republic of Korea, you need to apply for foreigner registration with the immigration (branch) office having jurisdiction over the place of your residence within 90 days from the date of entry into the country and receive your ARC (Alien Registration Card). The initial visa issued is typically single-entry only, and you can obtain multiple-entry status once you have your ARC.
