The 2025 OECD Southeast Asia Regional Program (SEARP) Forum was held on May 2 in Bangkok, Thailand, under the theme 'The OECD and Southeast Asia: Partnership for Prosperity.'
During the forum, representatives from OECD member countries and ASEAN member states agreed on the need to further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between the OECD and Southeast Asian countries amid the challenging global economic environment. They also discussed various avenues for collaboration, including OECD accession and participation in substantive committees.
Deputy Permanent Representative Choi Young-bae, who attended the forum on behalf of the Korean government, introduced Korea-supported OECD initiatives and expressed Korea’s continued commitment to enhancing OECD-Southeast Asia cooperation.
