On June 20, 2025, the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Korea to the OECD, in collaboration with the OECD, hosted the “2025 Korea-OECD Career Fair” to support Korean nationals to gain a better understanding of the career opportunities at the OECD and its recruitment process. The Career Fair was held in a hybrid format for the second consecutive year. This year’s event attracted around 300 people in-person and online, compared to last year where 150 participants joined.

Ms. Elsa Pilichowski, Director for Public Governance and Mr. Kim Young-Tae, the Secretary-General of the International Transport Forum, as well as other Korean nationals working at the OECD, joined the event to share their insights and experiences.

Ambassador Choi Sangdae said that “as we will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of Korea’s accession to the OECD next year in 2026, Korea will continue to strengthen its presence at the OECD.” He also highlighted that “currently we have around 120 Koreans contributing to the OECD’s mission, which is approximately a twofold increase in 6 years,” and that he hoped “more qualified Koreans would be recruited by the OECD.”
