On 30 September 2025, the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Korea to the OECD, together with the OECD, hosted the 2025 Korean National Day Policy Seminar at OECD Headquarters in Paris.

Held in anticipation of the 30th anniversary of Koreas accession to the OECD in 2026, the seminar provided an opportunity to reflect on Koreas achievements over the past three decades and to explore future directions for cooperation with the Organisation. Under the theme of Global Inclusiveness in Uncertain Times, the event brought together over 200 participants, including OECD Deputy Secretary-General Mary Beth Goodman, the Ambassador of Zambia to France, members of the diplomatic corps, and senior OECD Secretariat officials.

In her opening remarks, Deputy Secretary-General Goodman noted that the seminar addressed issues central to the OECDs work and praised the event as both timely and forward-looking. Participants welcomed the three thematic sessions proposed by the Korean Delegation  resilient food systems, inclusive and sustainable well-being, and AI and emerging technologies  as potential priorities for the OECDs future agenda.

The Korean Delegation reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening policy cooperation with the OECD, enhancing Koreas contribution to global agendas, and elevating its role within the Organisation.
It also expressed its intention to continue hosting key events and relevant seminars in the future.
