C3 (Short-Term Visit)

● Tourism (for foreigners)

  ○ Financial documents to prove affordability to bear the expenses of trip. (Bank statement, Letter of employment or Certificate of registration from your school etc.)

  ○ A copy of booking on a round-trip

  ○ Proof of accommodation in Korea (ex- Hotel reservation)

● Attendance of various Events • Meetings • etc

  ○ Certificate for Business Registration for Korean Company or Association.

  ○ Documents proving purpose of stay

  ○ Documents proving and introducing the Meeting

  ○ Documents related with establishment of the institute opening the meeting (a copy of business certificate, a copy of corporation certificate, etc.)

  ○ Documents related with the invitee (ID Card, a certificate of incumbency)

● Temporary Entertainment or Advertisement/fashion model If applicants are willing to perform according to the regulation of performance Act

● Those seeking to perform at a hotel or entertainment spot other than those described in Article 1 of the Tourism Promotion Act.

D-1 (Cultural Arts)

● Invitation Letter

  ○ Documents that prove that it is an organization of culture and art

  ○ Documents proving the ability to afford all expenses during the stay

D-2 (Study Abroad)

● Exchange Students (Please check the ★Important notice★ below)

  ○ Documents proving personal finance for stay (at least 20,000 SEK on your bank account or certificate of your scholarship, SU)

  ○ Certificate of Admission letter from the universities of Korea

  ○ A copy of student exchange agreement between the universities of Korea and Sweden

  ○ Last academic transcripts, which is issued within the last three months

● Those seeking high level education (bachelor, master, doctor)

  ○ Standard admission letter (issuance from the chief dean of a university) specifying the applicant's scholastic aptitude and finance capability

  ○ Certificate of the latest scholastic achievement(Official diploma or school transcript)

  ○ Official Bank/Financial Statements

● Those seeking to engage in specific study

  ○ A copy of certificate of business registration from Korean School

  ○ A certificate of the latest scholastic achievement

  ○ Reference or Documents that prove their financial capability (Reference not applicable for adopted children that had Korean nationality at birth)

D-4 (General Training)

● Those who study Korean at language school attached to a university.

  ○ Copy of Certificate of Business Registration from Korean School

  ○ Certificate of Admission

  ○ Certificate of tuition payment

  ○ Certificate of graduation or certificate of enrollment

  ○ Financial document(certificate of deposit balance over $3,000(USD) or certificate of remittance or exchange)

D-5 (Journalism)

● A warrant of detachment, a certificate of incumbency

  ○ An installment license of a domestic branch and office or financial documents of a domestic branch and office

D-6 (Religious Affairs)

● A warrant of detachment

  ○ A copy of the permit for foundation of religious body or social welfare organization

  ○ Documents that prove the financial support from their organization

D-7 (Supervisory Intra-Company Transfer)

● A dispatch warrant and a certificate of incumbency

  ○ A copy of branch office or liaison office installation permit

  ○ Documentary evidence of business fund importation record or a copy of business plan

  ○ Yearly tax payment certificate

D-8 (Corporate Investment)

● A dispatch warrant or a certificate of incumbency

  ○ A foreign investment report (a copy of register or business registration) or a copy of investment company registration

D-9 (Trade Management)

● A dispatch warrant or a certificate of holding office

  ○ A copy of register or business certificate

  ○ Documentary evidence of business fund importation record or a copy of business plan

E-1 (Professor)

● A copy of employment contract

E-2 (Foreign Language Director)

● A copy of employment contract (with documents received from Korea if you are in TaLK or EPIK Program)

E-7 (Special Occupation)

● A copy of employment contract (including related documents for your purpose of stay)

F-1 (Family Visitation)

● * Those adopted overseas that had Korean nationality at birth

  ○ A copy of family register or adoption confirmation from adoption agency * Household servants of diplomatic and consular personnel in Korea

  ○ A request from a foreign public official

  ○ Employment agreement

  ○ A copy of diplomat ID from the employer * A spouse or children of those that have residency (F-2) status

  ○ Documents proving that the applicant is a spouse or child of those that have residency (F-2) status

  ○ Documents proving the purpose of living together * Foreign national students who attend elementary or middle or high school

  ○ Certificate of Admission

  ○ Certificate of enrollment or certificate of graduation

  ○ Financial document(reference by sponsor or confirmation document proving that financial support from the school or otherwise certificate of deposit balance over $3,000(USD) or certificate of remittance or exchange)

● * Legal minors that need to be supported by the parent who has fostering rights, a Korean nationality, and a resident address in Korea.

  ○ A public document proving that the child in question is juvenile

  ○ Documents that can prove the relationship between the Korean national and the juvenile in question and the possession of fostering rights

  ○ If there are no documents to prove the possession of fostering rights, an agreement by the one with parental authority or guardian with same nationality as the minor in question (If no such person exists, a public document or notarized certificate of the related country that can prove that fact)

  ○ A personal guarantee by the parent of Korean nationality and with fostering rights (If they have a spouse, the personal guarantee of the spouse is also needed)

F-3 (Dependent Family)

● Documents that prove the family relations(a marriage certificate, a copy of family register or a birth certificate)

  ○ A certificate of incumbency of Inviting parties and a certificate of tax payment

F-4 (Korean Residents Abroad)

● * A person who had Korean nationality and acquired foreign nationality

  ○ Documents which prove the fact that he or she was a Korean nationality

  ○ Swedish Citizenship Certificate(Original)

  ○ Lost of Korean Nationality form * A person with a parent(s) or grandparent(s) of foreign nationality who once held Korean nationality.

  ○ Document(s) which proves the fact that his or her immediate ascendant was a Korean citizen

  ○ Document(s) which proves the reason, date, month and year of acquiring a foreign nationality of oneself and one's immediate descendants. (ex. copy of citizenship certificate)

  ○ Document which proves the relation of ascendant and descendant (ex. birth certificate)

  ○ Renunciation of Korean Citizenship form of oneself and one’s immediate descendants

F-6 (Marriage Immigration)

● Please contact the Embassy (visatokorea@mofa.go.kr)

H-1 (Working Holiday)

● Return ticket or sufficient funds to buy one (20,000sek) .

 ○ Proof of financial support or other documents that show you have sufficient funds to support yourself (for at least 3 months 25,000sek)

  ○ Apostilled Document proving student status or highest academic qualifications (Please attach a copy of this document if you want to get back original document.)

  ○ Document proving Health Insurance coverage in Korea


* Visa 1 photo requirements : Photo size: 3.5 x 4.5 cm on white background, Must be in color, The size of the face should be approximately 2.5 x 3.5 cm, Should be less than 6 months old

General Information


If you are living far from Stockholm, we exceptionally accept your visa application via registered mail (Postnord) to postal address of the Embassy (Attn: Consular Section, Visa Application, P.O Box 27237 102 53 Stockholm). The Embassy is not responsible for lost mail. If you want to leave your visa application to the Embassy in person, you can leave them to our reception. (Drop-in, Mon-Fri, 9.30-11.30, 13.30-16.00) The usual process time for visa application is 2-3 weeks from the day all required documents have been submitted to us. You will be informed by email when your passport with a visa on is ready for pickup.

If you don't have the possibility to visit our embassy in person, you can give your Power of Attorney to the person who can pick up your passport and visa instead. (You need to inform us of the information of the person in advance)

* Notice for Student Visa It is enough with 'Standard Admission Certificate' only for the students applying for 'Student Exchange Program' for the Korean universities which obtained governmental authorization(IEQAS) from Ministry of Justice.

FAQ


● All required documents listed above such as statements, certificates, medical reports and invitation letters must have been issued no earlier than 3 months prior to the visa application date.

● A bank statement is a document proving that the applicant will be able to financially support himself/herself during his/her stay in Korea. The required amount is US$1,000 per month.

● Non-Swedish citizens applying for a visa to Korea will be required to prove that they legally reside in Sweden by presenting one of the following documents: Valid Resident Permit Card, Personbevis, Swedish Bank Account statement.

● Please note that a visa application will be considered incomplete if the date of application and the application's signature are missing.

● Applications that are not submitted with all required documents will not be accepted.

● B. Single entry visa for a stay of more than 90 days: 600 SEK.
