Ambassador Kwon attended the '2024 Korea-Trinidad and Tobago Business Cooperation Seminar' jointly organized by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the KOTRA Bogota Office on Wednesday, October 30. Ambassador Kwon delivered the opening remarks, outlining the trends in bilateral trade and economic development, as well as the Embassy's economic support efforts, and exchanged views with the participants on possible areas of bilateral economic cooperation.
Kiran Maharaj, President of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce, greeted the attendees in Korean and led a jovial atmosphere by explaining the history and health benefits of Korean kimchi. She also praised the excellence of Korea's internationally recognized industries, such as semiconductors, automobiles, shipbuilding, and cosmetics, and expressed her desire for further cooperation as the visa-free agreement between Korea and Thailand allows entrepreneurs from both countries to travel between the two countries.
In addition, presentations by Mr. Jeong Seok-soo, Director of KOTRA, Ms. Kim Min-jung, Deputy Director, and Mr. Lee Chang-wook, Vice President of POSCO International, provided a rich exchange of information.
The Korean Embassy hopes that this event will further revitalize economic exchanges between the two countries, and that many business cooperation cases will be drawn for shared prosperity, and will continue to make efforts to support economic cooperation between our two nations.
