Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago

On Friday, October 10, Ambassador Seijoong Kwon attended the World Cocoa and Chocolate Day (WCCD) Expo held at the UWI Sport and Physical Education Centre.

The event, hosted by the UWI Cocoa Research Centre, was open to the public and brought together key cocoa stakeholders from across the Caribbean. It featured exhibitions of new cocoa and chocolate products, live chocolate making demonstrations and displays of cocoa-inspired art and crafts. The Expo showcased the economic potential of the regional cocoa industry and its prospects for further diversification.

It is hoped that that the global reputation of Trinidad and Tobago’s cocoa will continue to flourish, alongside strengthened sustainability and value chain development within the local cocoa industry.
