2024 Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees (Embassy Track)(Revised)

This is the announcement for the 2024 Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees.

 

Please refer to the attached files for further details.

 

* (Notice, 24.02.20)  Among the universities eligible for the 2024 GKS-G scholarship program, there are  two universities (Soonchunhyang University, Changwon National University) that have not received the Korean Ministry of Education's certification for internationalization capacity. 

As a result, applicants cannot apply for Soonchunhyang University and Changwon National University for the 2024 GKS-G application. For more information about the program, please check the final application guidelines and refer to the all attached files carefully.


1. Number of Scholars (Uganda) : 7 (Embassy Track)

 

2. Programs and Universities

 o Degree Programs: Master's Degree / Doctoral Degree / Research (Attached file 1, page.3)

 o Available Fields of Study: Applicants can only apply to the universities and departments that are listed in the           'University Information' file attached.  (Type A / B) 

 * Embassy track application may choose up  to THREE different universities from Type A and B and MUST apply to at least one of the universities from Type B

 

3. Eligibility

- Ugandan Citizenship

- Degree Requirements (Attached file 1) (Applicants must have obtained the required degree by February 28, 2024)

- Grades (Attached file 1) (Cumulative Grade Point Average(CGPA) must be equal to or above 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5 or 3.23/5.0 or Score percetile should be 80% or above on a 100-point scale or be ranked in the top 20% of one's class)

- Age under 40 years old (born after September 1, 1984)  
 * Age under 45 years old for the professor in ODA recipient countries

- Health 

- Restriction (Attached file 1)

 

4. Deadline of Application Submission

- 2024.2.12.(Mon) - 2024.3.4.(Mon) 
  (The Embassy will be closed on 16th February, and 1st March due to a public holiday) 

- The applicants should submit the required documents in person during operating hours 
   (Mon-Thu: 9:00-15:00 / Fri: 9:00-12:00)

- Application documents must be submitted in the order of the checklist. 
  Insufficient application documents will be excluded from the screening.

The names of successful candidates for the interview will be posted on 13th March, 2024, and interview will take place in the embassy on 18th March, 2024. (* Interview date can be changed.)
