This is the announcement for the 2026 Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees.

GKS applications are accepted exclusively through the online system.
Please note that applications cannot be modified after submission, and any applicant who fails to submit all required documents will be disqualified. No supplementary submissions will be allowed.
1. Number of Scholars (Uganda): 6 (General 6)
2. Scholarship Program
■Degree Program
- Master's Degree : 1 year of Korean Language Program + 2 years of degree program
- Doctoral Degree : 1 year of Korean Language Program + 3 years of degree program
- Research : 6 months or 1 year
■List of Eligible Universities : Applicants may refer to the list of eligible universities provided at the link below.

※ Among the three universities selected, at least one must be from Type B universities.
3. Eligibility
■Nationality: Ugandan Citizenship
■Level of Education: All applicants must have obtained the required degree (as specified below) or must be expected to graduate by July 31, 2026

■Grades: Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of the entire curriculum from the previous (degree) program must meet one of the two conditions below;
○Score percentile should be 80% or above on a 100-point scale or be ranked within the top 20% within one’s class
○CGPA must be equal to or above 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5 or 3.23/5.0
■Age: Must be under 40 years of age (born after September 1, 1986)
■Health: All applicants must be in good health, both mentally and physically, to study in Korea for the full duration of the program
4. Application Period : 12 February at 11am(Thu) - 25 February at 6pm(Wed)
*All times are based on Korea Standard Time(KST). Online applications must be fully submitted within the designated time period. Embassy will not receive any applications.
5. How to Apply :
■Apply online via the Study in Korea system(https://www.studyinkorea.go.kr/ko/plan/scholarship.do?tab=gks-tab1).
** Application procedure will be uploaded on the above website from 12 February 2026. **
■Register on the system and complete the application, including submission of required documents.
■Please note that no changes or additional documents will be accepted after submission. Insufficient application documents will be excluded from the screening.
■Applicants are required to scan and upload their recommendation letters to the online application system. Original copies are required only from final successful applicants.
■Consular verification documents, including academic records and birth certificates, will be required only from final successful applicants. For the online application, applicants are required to submit these documents without consular verification.
