Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations

Ambassador Ms. Hyunjoo Oh has been elected as a Vice President of the Executive Board of UNICEF for the term 2021 at the virtual meeting of the Executive Board held on January 12, 2021.

With its election as Vice-President of the Executive Board, the Republic of Korea will serve as a member of the Bureau for the first time in addition to its participation as a member of the Executive Board over multiple years (1988-1997, 2006-2023). In doing so, it is expected to expand the reach of its contribution within the Executive Board as well as international organizations on development and humanitarian assistance.
