Today (July 15) the Republic of Korea joined 37 Member States in expressing deep concern over the worsening humanitarian situation in Myanmar following the escalation of conflicts and violence. The participating Member States urged all parties concerned in Myanmar to de-escalate violence, respect international humanitarian law and human rights law, and protect civilians. Also, they reiterated calls to engage in constructive and inclusive dialogue to find a peaceful solution to the situation in Myanmar.
