


The Republic of Korea has been elected as a member of the Human Rights Council for the term 2025-2027, at the election held in the UNGA Plenary Meeting on Oct 9. RoK begins its sixth term as the Council member. Since the establishment of HRC in 2006.
Building on its effort to uphold core values of the UN, including human rights and fundamental freedoms, thr RoK government will actively contribute to addressing global human rights issues for the next three years.
