On August 7, 2025, Head Consul Joongsuk Park had a meeting with CEO Peter Kim and his team from Eastern Contractors Corporation (ECC), a Korean-American company that will be constructing a coal-fired power plant project in Susitna, Alaska.

During the meeting, they discussed the project and exchanged views on potential opportunities for Korean companies to participate.
