The following is the general information for U.S. citizen’s Korean Visa application.
A U.S. citizen with a valid passport can visit the Republic of Korea without visa for 90 days for the purpose of tourism or transient stop-over.
The Korean visa will take 3~5 days after the applicant submits all the required documents in person.
The visa processing fee for U.S. citizens is $45 in cash or money order (payable to the Consular Office of the Republic of Korea in Anchorage) only.
If an applicant is requesting a visa by mail, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope for the passport to be returned. Processing by mail will take 1~2 weeks.
Please include a PREPAID airway bill from a mail delivery service of your choice (e.g. FEDEX, DHL, UPS)
Please write your return address clearly. The Consular Office is not responsible for lost mail.
