On August 21, 2025, Head Consul Joongsuk Park visited the coal fields and the proposed coal power plant site in the West Susitna area with U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski.

During the visit, Terra Energy Center, developer of the project, presented an overview and plan for the project, while looking forward to participation from Korean companies with world-leading clean coal technologies, including carbon capture.
