Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Atlanta

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Atlanta is looking for a full-time researcher for economic affairs.

1. Job Role

- To research policies related to economic affairs in the Southeast U.S. States, including issues surrounding supply chain resilience and economic security

- To monitor economic and trade news, and relevant legislative and regulatory developments in the Southeast U.S. States

- To monitor news and updates related to investment and business of Korean companies in the Southeast U.S. States

- To assist with organizing events, and other administrative duties as requested

2. Qualifications

- Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (U.S. citizen or permanent resident)

- Master’s degree, preferably in economics, business management, international relations, international trade and/or law, science, engineering, or a related field, OR bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of work experience in the above-mentioned field and occupation

3. Employment Conditions

- Salary : Approximately 73,000 USD /year (equivalent to about 4,800 USD /month)

- Fixed term employment for 11 months

- If you are a Korean national or have dual citizenship, the Korean military service requirements must not restrict your employment at the Embassy

- Estimated start date: January 2024
