Consul General’s Greetings

  1. About the Mission
  2. Consul General’s Greetings

Welcome to the website of the Consular Office of the Republic of Korea in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Atlanta covers 6 southeast states (Georgia, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee) as well as the commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Since its establishment in 1976, the Consulate has been working tirelessly to promote ties between the aforementioned region and Korea, as well as friendship between the peoples of both countries, the United States and Korea. In addition, more than 230 Korean companies also make contributions to the mutually beneficial economic development of the two countries through vigorous trade and investment activities. We would like to express our respect and gratitude to 270 thousand members of Korean communities.

The Consulate will strive to support continued development of Korean communities as well as enhanced bilateral relations between Korea and the United States. Specifically, the Consulate is here to protect overseas Koreans through various kinds of consular services, increase trade and investment with Korea, strengthen the cooperation between the two governments, promote exchange and mutual understanding between the two peoples, and support the development of Korean communities.

The Consulate will spare no efforts in contributing to development of bilateral relations between Korea and the United States with the Korean government, the Korean communities, and the United States government and its citizens.

Thank you.

Consul General of the Republic of Korea Sangpyo Suh
