As of February 24, 2020 the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles will no longer issue sticker-type visas in your passport.
The 'Visa Grant Notice' will be your visa. All Foreigners seeking entry into the Republic of Korea with a valid visa are required to present the ‘Visa Grant Notice’ to Korean Immigration authorities in the process of immigration inspection.
The Korean immigration system does not require visa stickers to be affixed to a visa page in an applicant’s passport as visa status can be checked and verified using their advanced visa information system.
After 10 business days from submission of ALL visa douments, you can check your visa status and print it at home.

1) Visit the Official Korean Visa Website(https://www.visa.go.kr/openPage.do?MENU_ID=10301)
2) For a type of applicasions, click 'Diplomatic office'
3) Fill out Passport Number, Name, Date of Birth and click the 'Search' Button
** Enter an applicant's name in English, last name first followed by first name and middle name as shown on your current passport
ex) For a name John Doe, born on January 1, 1995, enter the name as Doe John and 19950101 for date of birth
- No commas or dash(hyphen)
- If there is a space or dash in your first and/or last name, please enter the space or dash as it shows on your passport.
- If you have a dash in your name and your search does not come up any results, please try again with replacing the dash with space.
4) If a visa application is approved, the 'Certificate' button will be activated
5) Print the 'Visa Grant Notice(or Confirmation of Visa Issuance)'
- All foreigners are required to present this document to immigration officers when entering Korea.
- The document is valid either printed in color or black and white.
