General Information


  • U.S. Visa Waiver Program

  • U.S. citizens can visit the Republic of Korea without a visa for duration of up to 90 days or less if the purpose of the trip is for tourism, business meeting, attendance at a conference or visiting families or relatives. (Extension of stay is not permitted) Visa Exemption for Non-U.S. citizen(  https://www.visa.go.kr )

  • For Non-U.S. citizen : Tourists in transit (Click)

  • For Non-U.S. citizen(e.g. China, Mongol, Vietnam, Philippine, India, Cambodia, Laos, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Armenia, etc), Tourists in transit to another countries via Korea, can visit Korea without a visa for up to 30 days. This rule does not apply for the nationals of 24 countries(e.g. Syria, Sudan, Iran, Cuba, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Ghana, etc) and who have violated Korean immigration law.

  • Eligible Applicants : A person who hold a visa or Permanent residency of U.S. and have a flight ticket that is scheduled to depart from Korea within 30 days.

  • who go to U.S. in transit via Korea; or

  • who stay in U.S. and take a flight from U.S. to Korea to go to a country of nationality or a third country.


  • Consular Jurisdiction of Los Angeles

  • Our jurisdiction is Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, New-Mexico. Applicants who do not live in these area, please contact appropriate Korean Consular Office in your respective area.



  • Visa Fee

  • U.S. Citizens : US$45 (regardless of number of entry)

  • Non US Citizens Fees vary based on reciprocity.

  • Please check with Consulate General for the exact amount.

  • Single entry visa for a stay of no more than 90 days : US$30 – US$130

  • Canadian, Chinese, Indian applying for C-3 : US$40

  • Vietnamese applying for C-3 : US$20

  • Filipino applying for C-3 : free ( only in case of less 59 than days)

  • Mongolian applying for C-3 : free

    We accept only cash or money-order.

  • Single entry visa for a stay of more than 90 days : US$50 - US$200

  • Multiple entry visa : US$70 – US$250


  • Processing Time

  • The visa processing time is 14 business days (Most visas not including mailing time).

  • All Submitted documents with visa application will not be returned to the applicant except the passport.

  • After 14 business days, please check your application status and print your own visa by visiting at  https://visa.go.kr. 

  • We no longer issue sticker-type visa in your passport.

  • You are required to present your visa certificate to immigration officers in Korea. See the bottom or click here for how to print out your visa
