The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles will host director Kim Tae-yong for a special screening of films Family Ties, Late Autumn, and Wonderland, in collaboration with local universities and theaters. Following each screening, Director Kim will share insights into his films and engage in a Q&A session with the audience.




2. Korean National Foundation Day ReceptionOctober 2, 2025, 18:00

Residence of Consul General


The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles will host a reception in celebration of Korea’s 4358th National Foundation Day. The event, featuring a cultural performance celebrating the 80th anniversary of Korean Liberation will be attended by U.S. officials, consular corps members, and Korean-American community leaders. (This event is by invitation only.)

San Diego Balboa Park (2125 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101)


As part of the annual Lawn Program held at the House of Korea in Balboa Park, San Diego, the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles will present a variety of programs in collaboration with local Korean American performing art groups, including traditional Korean performances, K-pop showcases, promotional and sampling booths, Korean food tastings, and Hanbok experiences for the local community.




4. “Hello, Hangul!” event to commemorate the 6th anniversary of Hangul Day in California | October 7, 2025 14:00-17:00 [ Link : Click ]

Stevenson Ranch Library (25950 The Old Rd, Stevenson Ranch, CA 91381)


To celebrate the 6th anniversary of Hangul Day, which was unanimously passed by the California State Senate in 2019, the Korean Education Center in Los Angeles will host a cultural experience event at a local public library. Come and learn about the creation of Hangul through various hands-on activities such as Hangul name calligraphy, Hangul bracelet-making, a Hangul photo booth, and more. (This event is open to the public and free of charge.)




5. 'Opera Voyage' by Korea National Opera | October 14, 2025 19:00 [ Link : Click ]

The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles will present a special program featuring members of the Korea National Oper’s Young Artist Program, showcasing a diverse repertoire including the Korean original opera Soul Mate, opera arias, and Korean art songs.

An event to support the U.S. market entry of Korean health tech startups, foster local investment and expand global networking. Ten selected startups will showcase their innovation through IR pitches.

This Korean Studies Forum, supported by the Korea Foundation and hosted by USC, will bring together leading Korean Studies scholars from Southern California to share the latest research in fields such as the humanities, culture, engineering, and media, and to discuss ways to expand Korea-U.S. exchanges in each area.

This workshop, hosted by the Korea Foundation (KF), will be attended by ten KF Fellows conducting Korea-related research at major U.S. universities. They will have the opportunity to present the current status of their research and receive career development coaching from mentors, supporting their growth into the next generation of Korean Studies scholars.




9. Performing Arts Screenings – Sac on Screen 2025 ‘Opera Chunhyang’s Great Escape’ October 22, 2025 18:30 [Link : Click ]

The second installment of the collaborative project series by the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles and the Seoul Arts Center presents the Korean original opera Chunhyang’s Great Escape. Performed in Korean dialogue and song, this production offers a delightful and accessible experience for both newcomers to opera and seasoned enthusiasts. Prior to the screening, audiences will also enjoy an engaging introduction to the work, providing a deeper appreciation of the opera’s charm.




10. Korean American Ethnic Studies Workshop for Prospective Secondary School Educators | October 25, 2025, 08:30-13:00

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles, in collaboration with the Department of Secondary Education at California State University, Fullerton and the Korean American Studies Education Foundation will conduct a teacher training workshop on Korean American Ethnic Studies curriculum for prospective secondary school educators. The workshop aims to prepare teacher certification candidates to incorporate Korean American history and perspectives into middle and high school classrooms.




11. Korean Heritage Education and Korean School Teacher Training in Reno | October 24, 2025–October 25, 2025 13:00-16:00 [ Link : Coming Soon ]

Nevada Reno Korean School (148 Richards Way, Sparks, NV 89431)


The Korean Education Center Los Angeles will hold a Korean Heritage Education program and a Korean School Teacher Training session in Reno, Nevada, to help Korean American youth develop a strong sense of identity and pride in their heritage. Professional instructors will visit Reno to provide students with a variety of Korean cultural experience activities, and to introduce the latest Korean language teaching methods to Korean school teachers.

In celebration of the upcoming APEC Summit in Gyeongju on October 31, the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles will host a special performance featuring traditional art troupes from APEC member countries, along with cultural booths introducing each nation. The event will offer audiences a rich array of performances and engaging experiences.




13.  Economic Statecraft in a Divided Peninsula : ROK-U.S. Cooperation and North Korea Strategy | October 30, 2025 17:00 [ Link : Click ]

Korean Consulate General in LA and the Korea-Pacific Program of UC San Diego will jointly hold a seminar inviting leading experts on the Korean Peninsula. The event will focus on exploring ROK-US cooperation on North Korea-related issues.
