2022 Quiz on Korea in Pretoria and Cape Town

1. The Korean Embassy will host "2022 Quiz on Korea" event in Pretoria and Cape Town.

  1) Pretoria: 
      - Date and Time : Saturday, 25 June 2022, 9:30 AM 
      - Venue : Korean Embassy, Arirang Hall, 265 Melk Street, Nieuw Muckleneuk, Pretoria

  2) Cape Town: 
      - Date and Time : Friday, 1 July 2022, 18:00 PM
      - Venue : Pinelands Methodist Church, 16 Ridge Street, Pinelands, Cape Town

2. "2022 Quiz on Korea" will be held in the form of a participatory quiz competition to provide Korean-related knowledge such as Korean social news, culture, and history to non-Koreans learning Korean in South Africa.

3. Eligibility to participate 
   1) 12 years of age or older (as of May 30, 2022)
       - Top three winners under the age of 18 may be qualified to participate in “Korea-South Africa Youth Camp" instead of participating in the final round.
      - Only a winner over the age of 18 will be qualified to participate in the final (28 August ~ 4 September 2022).
   2) A person who has or has never held Korean nationality by himself/herself or his/her immediate family (the immediate family of overseas Koreans may not participate)
   3) A person who can speak Korean and/or English.

4. Application
   - 2022 Quiz on Korea can be applied online by Saturday, 18 June 2022

5. Questions type:
   - Most of the questions will be asked in English. 
   - However, please note that some of the questions will be in Korean as well.

6. Prizes:
   - 1st place: LG Smart TV 43”
   - 2nd place: Samsung Galaxy Watch 4
   - 3rd place: Samsung Buds Pro 2
