VISAS

  • Visa application should be made at the Korean Embassy in Pretoria.
  • Visa applicants are required to submit his/her passport, visa application form, a recent colour passport style photograph, and other relevant documents as determined by the status of his/her application. * Visa applicants who have a confirmation number should submit the confirmation of visa issuance.
  • All applicants of long-term visa(including specific short-term visa) from the mentioned 35 countries below will be required to submit a certificate of tuberculosis(Chest X-ray) test issued from hospitals designated by the Embassy.
    • 35 Countries

      Angola, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Cambodia, China, Congo, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Moldova, Mongolia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand, Timor Leste, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Zimbabwe.
      * Applicants who are exempted from TB(Chest X-ray) test requirement are as below;

      • The following types of visa: A-1(Diplomat), A-2(Government Official), A-3(Agreement)
      • Children under 6 years old
      • Pregnant women
  • Visa Application Hour : 08:00-11:30
  • Visa fees are as follows;
    • Single Entry Visa for a stay of less than 90 days : R720.00 ($40.00)
    • Single Entry Visa for a stay of more than 90 days : R1,080.00 ($60.00) Visa fees can differ according to your nationality. Visa fees should be paid in cash only.
  • Submitted documents will not be returned in any circumstances except for passport. Please prepare photocopy along with original documents if you want to keep the orginal documents for yourself after visa process
    The submitted passport must be collected from the visa office at the Embassy.
