Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Sydney

On July 19th, 2023, the Consulate-General of the Republic of Korea in Sydney, in collaboration with Investment NSW, organised the 2023 Korea-NSW Business Forum in Sydney.

Consul-General Taewoo Lee opened the forum with welcomingremarks, and Minister for Industry and Trade Anoulack Chanthivong gave the keynote address. Afterwards, a panel discussion was held, featuring LizLivingston, from the NSW Treasury; David Gainsford, from the Department of Planning and Environment; Georgina Beattie, from the Department of Regional NSW;Tim Wong, from Investment NSW; and In-jae Hwang, from the Korea Trade-InvestmentPromotion Agency (KOTRA). The panel was moderated by Dr. Sung-Young Kim, Senior Lecturer in International Relations at Macquarie University.

The forum provided an opportunity to find out about thelatest developments in the NSW economy, and engage in discussions aboutpromising areas of collaboration between Korea and NSW.
