D-2 Visa (Study at Uni, Exchange student, Research)

◆ Eligible Applicants

A person who will study full-time at University or study as an exchange student, or research at academic institutions (college or higher) established under either the Higher Education Act or the Special Act.

1. Visa Application form (General)

2. Original passport

3. A passport photo (35*45mm taken in recent 6 months)

 - when you visit the Consulate office : Cash, Card

 - when you send by post mail : Money order, Bank cheque / Payee: Korean Consulate in Sydney

5. Current Australian Visa Grant Notice

  * If you hold a passport from one of the following countries, you should provide an Australian Visa Grant Notice that proves you continuously have been staying in Australia more than 2 years at the time of Korean visa application.

6. Certificate of Admission (Issued by the chief dean of a university)

7. Business registration certificate of the university in Korea

8. Certificate of the latest scholastic achievement (eg. university transcript) 

  * You must complete one semester at least if you are on university exchange program 

9. Bank statement (proving sufficient funds which is written in Certificate of Admission) or Scholarship confirmation letter

10. Prepaid express post platinum envelope from the post office for return of your passport

  * Only if you are submitting the visa application by post mail or if you cannot pick up your passport in person

11. (For research purpose only) Any documents proving the detailed research activity

Approximately 7 working days from the date of documents submission. (Post delivery time is not included.)
