재외동포청은 재외동포 우수 차세대 인재들을 모국에 초청하여 '정체성 함양'과 '재외동포 정책사업(한국의 정치·경제 발전상 알리기 등)' 협력 체계 구축을 위한 '2024 세계한인차세대대회(4.30-5.3)'를 개최하오니, 많은 관심과 참여 바랍니다.

1. 행사개요

  1) 행사명 : 2024 세계한인차세대대회(2024 Future Leaders' Conference)

  2) 기간 및 장소 : 2024.4.30. (화) ~ 5.3. (금)  3박 4일 / 서울 및 지방(미정)

  3) 참가인원 : 국외 70명 이내

     ※ 선발된 자에 한해 ①왕복항공료(일반석, 실비) 50%, ②공식일정 내 숙식비, ③행사보험

  4) 행사목적

    - 재외동포 정책사업(한국의 정치·경제 발전상 알리기 등) 협력 체계 구축

    - 차세대 동포의 한인 정체성 함양

    - 현지 주류사회 진출방안 논의 및 토론

    - 대한민국과 재외동포사회의 상생발전을 위한 실질적 방안 마련

  5) 주요내용

    - 기조강연(재외동포 정책사업-한국의 발전상 알리기 등)

    - 국무총리(안) 등 정부 기관 인사 예방

    - 토론 및 네트워킹(한인 정체성 함양 및 주류사회 진출 경험 나눔, 전문 분야별/지역별 네트워크 구축을 위한 토론, 주제 발표)

    - 산업시찰 및 모국문화체험

    - '글로벌 차세대동포 위원회' 구성 방안 논의, 종합토론 등

2. 추천대상 및 선발 절차

  1) 신청자격 : 만 25~45세의 재외동포 중

    - 각 전문 분야에서 활동하면서 동포사회 발전에 기여한 자,

    - 정치, 경제, 법률, 주요 언론, 문화, 예술 및 국제기구 종사자 등,

    - 지역별 우수 차세대 단체, 전문가 단체의 임원 등,

    - 공관의 추천을 받은 자

  3) 신청 방법 : <해외참가자> [붙임2] 지원신청서를 작성하여(사인 필수) atldongpo@mofa.go.kr로 제출

  4) 신청 기한 : 2월 27일(화)

  5) 선발 결과 : 3월 15일 공지 예정

2024 Future Leaders' Conference

2024 Future Leaders’ Conference, hosted by the Overseas Koreans Agency, invites  talented overseas Koreans who will lead the future of overseas Korean communities worldwide.

1. Overview

  1) Event name: 2024 Future Leaders’ Conference

  2) Dates: Apr 30 (Tue) - May 3 (Fri), 2024 < 3 nights, 4 days >

  3) Location: Seoul and elsewhere (TBA)

     ※ Support Details: ①Airfare: 50% of round-trip airfare (based on economy class, actual expenses), ②Accommodation, ③Travel insurance

  4) Number of Participants: Approximately 70 participants from domestic and overseas locations

  5) Objectives

    - Cultivating the Korean identity among the overseas Korean youth

    - Discussing the ways to integrate into the mainstream of their residential societies

    - Strengthening capabilities to enhance mutual development between overseas Korean communities and Republic of Korea, etc.

  5) Key highlights

    - Keynote speech

    - Visiting Korean government institutions and meeting with relevant officials

    - Discussion and Networking sessions

    - Visiting industrial sites and experiencing the culture of mother country, etc.

2. Application

  1) Eligibility: Overseas Korean individuals aged between 25 and 45

    - who have promoted exchanges among overseas Koreans and contributed to the development of the Korean communities,

    - who work in politics, economics, law, major media, culture, art field, or international organizations, etc.,

    - Leaders of exceptional emerging organizations, professional groups, etc.,

    - Recommendees from Korean diplomatic office or head of overseas Koreans organization

  4) Application deadline: February 27(Tue)

  5) Selection Announcement: on or about 15 March 2024 (Fri)
