Consul General Se-joo Son met with US Senator and Chairman of Senate Foreign Relations Committee Bob Menendez on March 28 at the Senator's Newark District Office to have frank discussion on ways to strengthen the Korea-US alliance,

with special emphasis on the 60th anniversaries of Korea-US Mutual Defense Treaty and the armistice agreement that ended the Korean War.
As the two countries celebrate the first anniversary of the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement, Consul General Son and Chairman Menendez both agreed that further strengthening of economic and trade cooperation between Korea and the US is important.
Also, Consul General Son asked the Senator for his continued interest and support for the Korean-American community in New Jersey.
