Consul General Won-sam Chang attended a donation ceremony at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home at Menlo Park on Thursday, March 25, 2021. On behalf of Korean War veterans in New Jersey, Acting Deputy Commissioner for Veterans Affairs Walter Nall of the NJ Department of Military and Veterans Affairs received 20,000 masks (18,000 KF94 masks and 2,000 surgical masks) and 300 bottles of hand sanitizers. The KF94s and sanitizers were provided by the Korean Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. Also, Korean War Veterans Association New Jersey Department Commander Richard Daucunas, Menlo Park Veterans Memorial Home CEO Jennifer Causer, Korean American Association of New Jersey President Han-ik Son, Federation of Korean American Associations of Northeastern USA President Juhyang Lee, the Greater Southern New Jersey Korean American Association President Tina Sung, New Jersey Korean Vietnam War Veterans Association President Dae-sik Park, and other state veterans affairs staff joined the ceremony. Last year, the Korean government donated 500,000 masks to Korean War veterans. Continuing such efforts to support the veterans and their families in our shared fight against the global pandemic, the Korean government had presented these additional supplies.
