Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York

On January 16, Consul General Euy Whan Kim participated in the Korean American Day commemoration at the New York State Assembly alongside Kwang S. Kim, President of the Korean American Association of Greater New York, and Yunsuk Jung, President of the Albany Korean Association. This event marked the 121st anniversary of Korean immigration to America, celebrating the contributions and history of Korean Americans.

On that day, Assemblyman Ron Kim introduced Assembly Resolution 738, "Memorializing and proclaiming January 13, 2024, as Korean American Day in the State of New York." The resolution, co-sponsored by Assembly Members Grace Lee and Edward Braunstein, received unanimous support and was officially adopted.
