Distinguished Guests,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Al-Salamu Alaikum[앗-쌀라무 알라이쿰, 안녕하십니까].
I am delighted to be here today to celebrate the opening of the Fourth Arab Cultural Festival with the Korea-Arab Society. The Fourth Arab Cultural Festival is a shubbaak[슙바아크], which means a 'window' in Arabic. I believe that through this shubbaak, Korean and Arab people will indeed gain a deeper understanding of each other's cultures.
This festival will feature various events such as the Arab tourism exhibition, the Omani fashion show and photo exhibition, and the Palestinian Dance Performance. Twelve Arab embassies in Korea are participating in the Arab tourism exhibition. The Palestinian Dance Performance will express the energy and passion of the Palestinian people through music and dance. I firmly believe that the festival will offer a unique chance for Koreans to get a glimpse into beautiful Arab culture.
At a time when the Arab world is going through remarkable transition, this festival marks an exciting moment in the relations between our two regions. I am sure that this event will be a precious memory for all the audience.
Once again, I am delighted to celebrate the opening of the festival in Seoul with the Korea-Arab Society.
Thank you, Shukran[슈크란, 감사합니다], Ladies and Gentlemen, for being here today. //End//
