Important Notice for all visa applications

1. (Entering Korea for tourist purpose) Nationals who are eligible for a K-ETA must apply for a K-ETA instead of applying for a tourist visa. Please check if your nationality is eligible for a K-ETA. Irish nationals are eligible for a K-ETA; which means, Irish can enter and stay in Korea for up to 90 days with a K-ETA for tourist purpose. As the Embassy and K-ETA are different entities, we kindly ask all K-ETA related questions be forwarded to K-ETA website. 

2. Required documents and Fees: You can check the visa fees and the required documents for popular visas in our "Visa Issuance" page. Other visa requirements can be navigated in the Korea Visa Portal (visa.go.kr)

3. Please allow your self enough time for the visa process. We recommend you apply for your visa at least 1~2months before (but not over 3 months) your potential Korean entry date. We do not recommend booking your flight and accommodation without getting your visa, as we can not process the visa based on your bookings. 

4. Telephone interviews may be required (via individual notice)

5. All visa processing will take more than 10-14 working days, but we recommend you apply at least 1~2 months before your expected entry date. 

    * However, the following visas will be processed within 7 working days
         - A1, A2, A3 Visas
         - Urgent visas due to humanitarian reasons, etc.
   ※ In all the above cases, a telephone interview may also be required.
