National Police Certificate

●The Korean National Police Agency(KNPA) does not issue Criminal/Investigation Record Check at the request of identification. The KNPA will only issue Criminal/Investigation Record Check for immigration purposes such as for visa, permanent residence/citizenship. Person who use Criminal/Investigation Record Check for the other purposes could be sentenced to imprisonment of up to two years or a fine of up to 20 million won in accordance with the Clause 2 and 3 or Article 10 of "ACT ON THE LAPSE OF CRIMINAL SENTENCES"

●Korean nationals living abroad
●Foreign nationals who lived in Korea in the past.
●※ Korean nationals as well as foreigners who currently live in Korea can request this service through local police stations.(tel: +82-2-3150-1960~1)

●Applicant must visit the Korean Embassy for apply for CRC Issuance.
○Application form (at Attached file)
○Color photo in 6 months (3×4㎝)
○Passport
○Copy of previous passport which you got Korean visa in the past
○(Not essential) Copy of Alien Registration Card OR Copy of Alien Registration Certification
○(Not essential) Self-addressed stamped Envelope

●Documents applicant presented to Korean Embassy in Ireland are not allowed to return.

●You MUST submit an application in person We do not accept applications by post.
○Opening hours: 9:30 ~ 12:00 / 14:00 ~ 16:30 , Monday to Friday (Appointment required)
●The process will take about 14 days.
●You can collect it by yourself at the Embassy between 1.30 pm and 2 pm (No Appointment necessary).
●[Post option] You must bring Self-addressed Envelop with your own stamp only if you wish to receive Background Check certificate by post.
