Announcement for the 99th Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK)

■ Application Guidelines
◦ Application period: January 22nd to February 12th 2025
◦ Application Method: Email submission
◦ Submission Requirements
- Application Form
- 1 passport size photo (3cm x 4cm) JPG file ※ max. 200KB / 354*472 pixel
- A copy of an identification document (Same ID must be used for the test)
- Proof of payment (e.g. Bank statement, confirmation of transfer)

◦ Eligibility Criteria: Overseas Koreans and Foreigners who do not speak Korean as their mother tongue
◦ Important Note
- The subject line of the email must include “The 99th TOPIK Application(Applicant’s Name)”.
- Please leave "Application Number" & "Registration Number" blank.
- Application received after the deadline or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
◦ For Applicants with Disabilities
- Applicants with disabilities must submit a disability verification document and a medical certificate/Doctors note (if necessary), along with their application form.

- Note: Ensure the fee is transferred in the applicant’s name
◦ Refund policy:
- 100% refund before the 12th of February
- 40% refund for cancellations after the 12th of February and 1 day before the examination date 11th of April)
- Note: Refunds are only available with valid proof of mitigating circumstances
◦ Result Announcement: May 30th 2025
- Note: Test results are available on the official TOPIK website (www.topik.go.kr) during the validity period.

■ Exam and Applicant Instructions
◦ Entry Time: Must enter the exam room at least 30 minutes before the exam starts
◦ Items to bring: Exam admission ticket, Valid ID
- Valid ID: Passport, ID card, etc. (Must include photo, date of birth, name, and must not be expired).
※ Important note of Applicants:
- Correction of Personal Information must be submitted to the testing agency within 4 weeks after the announcement of results
(Note: Correction cannot be made if incorrect information was provided due to the applicant’s own error.)
- It is essential for applicants to check exam rules and procedure themselves to avoid any issues related to misconduct or disqualification. (Applicants are responsible for any consequences due to unfamiliarity with the rules).
- Minimum Number of Applicants: If the number of applicants for TOPIK I or II is fewer than 10, the test may be canceled.
