Initial Adjustment Support Program for Immigrants
□ What is the Initial Adjustment Support Program?
○ The Initial Adjustment Support Program (IASP) is open to foreigners entering Korea for the first time who intend to stay in the country long-term. The program offers the participants information about daily life, basic law, and institutions of Korea in their native languages to assist with their successful settlement into Korean society.

① Marriage Immigrants (F-6) |
o Mutual respect and understanding between married couples and families o Family culture and lifestyle in Korea o Prevention of sexual/domestic violence and how to report them |

② Koreans with Foreign Nationality (H-2) |
o Compliance with the laws of Korea, basic laws for living in Korea o Approval system for staying and permanently residing in Korea, acquiring nationality |

③ Workers in Hotel and Adult Entertainment (E-6-2) |
o Human rights in the workplace, human rights violations, cases of human rights violation o What to do in case of sexual violence or human rights violations and remedies for victims |

④ International Students (D-2) |
o Advice for making studying in Korea successful o Information on school life, designing and choosing a career |

⑤ Children Who Immigrated with Their parents (F-1-52, F-2-2-, F-1-9, F-1-11) |
o Education and school system, Transitioning from primary through tertiary education, job education o Culture and welfare facilities for adolescents |

□ Who is Obligated to Participate in This Program?
o If you fall under Eligibility ① and are a national of one of the following countries, you must participate in this program.
- Chinese, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Thailand
If you don't take the program, your period of stay will be limited to six months from the date of your entry into Korea when applying for a Foreign Resident Registration.
o If you fall under Eligibility ② or ③, you must take this program to apply for a Foreign Resident Registration.
※ If you fall under either of Eligibility ④ through ⑥, participation in this program is not mandatory. Even if you don't take it, you will not face any disadvantages in applying for a Foreign Resident Registration, and your period of stay will not be affected.
□ How can I Participate in This Program?
o After entering Korea, sign up for an account at the Immigration & Social Integration Network website(www.socinet.go.kr) and register for a course you are eligible for.
o For further inquiries, contact Immigration Contact Center(1345) after you enter Korea.
