2024 Global Korea Scholarship (Deadline: March 5th(Tue) 4pm)

2024 Global Korea Scholarship is now open for applicants!


Global Korea Scholarship is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea at graduate-level degrees, which will enhance international education exchange and deepen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries.


To be selected as a GKS grantee, an applicant must successfully pass the 1st round of selection managed by the Korean embassy where he or she holds the citizenship or NIIED-designated Korean universities. The Korean Embassy in Ireland will accept Embassy track applicants of Irish Nationals ONLY

Application Date: from now until March 5th(Tue) 4pm.

Apply to: Post or submit by person your completed application and documents to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea (72 Merrion Square South, Dublin 2, D02TW54)

Interview Date: Selected applicants will be invited to an interview at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea - which will be notified individually to the applicants. (Estimated date is 13th of March)


Before submitting your application place every document by the checklist, if the documents are not by the designated sort or lack necessary information you will be disqualified to apply.


Candidate(s) selected by the Korean Embassy from the interview will have their documentation forwarded to NIIED (National Institute for International Education) who will make their final decision and announce the results on the mid of June.

Starting from 2024 GKS-G, applicants who are expected to graduate by July 31st, 2024 can also apply for the program with a certificate of expected graduation. Such applicants must submit their official graduation certificate (or diploma) and final academic transcript to GKS Center, NIIED by July 31st, 2024. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your acceptance
